Charlie and Gunnar are lifelong Rhode Island locals who grew up on these waters and beaches. Former lifeguards and rowing teammates, they developed a deep respect for the ocean, teamwork, and pushing limits, values that continue to shape everything they do.

After recognizing a gap in triathlon events across Rhode Island, the Ocean State, they founded Blue Horizon Racing to bring high-quality races to the state’s premier coastline. Today, they combine their passion for triathlon, local knowledge, and community-first mindset to create safe, challenging, and unforgettable race experiences for athletes of all levels.
