Gunnar and Charlie are lifelong Rhode Island locals who grew up on these waters. Former lifeguards and rowing teammates, they developed a deep respect for the ocean, teamwork, and pushing limits, values that continue to shape everything they do.

After recognizing a gap in triathlon events across Rhode Island, they founded Blue Horizon Racing to bring races to the state’s premier coastline. Today, they combine their passion for triathlon, local knowledge, and community to create safe, challenging, and unforgettable race experiences for athletes of all levels.

While Gunnar and Charlie get these races in motion, there’s much more to it. Every event comes to life because of the incredible volunteers who show up before sunrise, the local businesses and sponsors who believe in what we're building, and a community of athletes who make race day everything it is. We are deeply grateful for every person who has supported this vision, you are as much a part of Blue Horizon Racing as we are.
